
NetworkIrlande’s Pioneer Member Primark launched its 11th store in France on Thursday 7th September, at the Val d’Europe shopping centre at Marne-La-Vallée (Serris) in the Seine-et-Marne.
The new store was officially opened by H.E. Patricia O’Brien, Ambassador of Ireland to France and Monsieur Philippe Descrouet, Mayor of Serris. The new store, with 5400m2 of retail space dedicated to women’s, men’s and children’s fashion, shoes, accessories, lingerie, beauty products and homeware, will eventually employ 350 people and brings the total number of Primark stores to 344, across 11 countries.
Christine Loizy, Managing Director of Primark France announced, “ We are delighted to open our new store in Marne-La-Vallée and excited by the warm welcome reserved for our brand. We look forward to sharing our incredible fashion at incredible prices with our customers”.
Philippe Descrouet, Mayor of Serris said “We are delighted to welcome Ireland’s most famous brand to Serris and proud of the fact that our community will be home to its 11th store in France, with 5400m2 of retail space and 350 employees. Primark has a powerful presence. There will now be three reasons to visit the Val d’Europe area; Disneyland, Val d’Europe shopping centre/La Vallée Village and…Primark”.
Primark’s latest retail concepts are have been incorporated into the design of the new store, with 91 changing rooms, 63 checkouts, free Wi-Fi and relaxation areas equipped with chargers for mobile phones.
Primark has also announced plans to open new stores in Le Havre, Metz and Strasbourg in 2018.
